Pangnirtung, home to 1,364, is located on Baffin Island on a Cumberland Sound fiord. It is located on a narrow coastal plain beside a range of high mountains and a winding river valley.

This community is a paradise for the outdoor adventure seeker, offering hiking, climbing, skiing, and fishing. The Autuittuq National Park can be accessed from the community and offers great hiking and camping opportunities.
