The Community of Igloolik Health Centre.
Igloolik, home to 1,500, is located on a small island in Foxe Basin, close to the Melville Peninsula.
This is the location where “Fast Runner” was filmed, a Cannes Film Festival award-wining movie. This community has a history dating back 4,000 years, and is a center of Inuit culture. Local residents create and sell beautiful traditional clothing and carvings. The Research Centre in the community is home to a collection of oral traditions materials. http://www.igloolikhotel.com/
