The Community of Clyde River Health Centre.
Clyde River, home to approximately 850, is located on the north shore of Baffin Island on Davis Strait. Surrounded by majestic mountains and deep fiords, it is home to an abundance of glaciers and icebergs. There are an impressive 10 fiords within a 100-kilometre radius of the hamlet, and a healthy population of narwhals, seals, bowhead whales, and polar bears.
Many families in this community spend the spring and summer enjoying a traditional lifestyle, hunting and camping. People here still make and wear traditional skin clothing and rely on hunted animals for much of their annual food supply. Hunting and traveling can be difficult in the winter and early spring, with whiteout conditions and blizzards lasting 24 and 48 hours. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clyde_River,_Nunavut
